ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2011

Association of Western Australia held their Annual General Meeting on 17^th of April 2011, at the RCL Hall, Bedford. There were 33 members present (out of 59 paying members), who reviewed the Association’s work in past year and discussed way forward. Also, new Committee was elected.

Minutes from the meeting

1. It was stated that last year was successful.
2. During the last 12 months, Committee organised one picnic and 4 parties which averaged more than 100 attendees (members and their guests).
3. Financially, last year was very successful. Membership takings, donations, sale of soccer apparel and the party profits were main earners. Financial report was forwarded to all attendees.
4. On behalf of the Committee, President Branko Banovic thanked all the members who contributed in our successful Community.
5. Present members anonymously supported the report and commended the Committee’s work in past year.
6. Committee then suggested and the present members seconded the changes for next year:

a) To change the Family membership to $60.00, Single membership to $40.00, Pensioner Family membership to $30.00 and Single Pensioner membership to $20.00.
b) To allow free entry to Volunteers who work in the Canteen during the party
c) Any “ethnic” singing is prohibited, and the Committee or the Organiser has the duty to stop any such situation.
d) Tickets for the parties can be bought for $25.00 prior to the party, and $30.00 at the door (providing tickets are available). This decision was made to allow the time for Hall hire, catering and other important organising factors.
e) To buy a second hand vehicle (a van) to the value of $3.000. The van would be used to store/ transport all required catering equipment, drinks and other gear for the party.
f) To change the heavy plates we have with lighter ones, easing the Canteen volunteer’s job during the party.
g) To buy a digital photo camera.
h) Date for the party to celebrate Independence Day is 14^th of May 2011.

Statute:

It was anonymously agreed to add a special resolution:

In case the Montenegrin Association of WA dissolves, all Association’s existing funds to be donated to "Klinicko Bolnicki Centar Podgorica" (Medical Hospital Centre Podgorica, Montenegro).

The Association’s Committee shall have 7 members (including a President, Vice-President, Secretary and the Treasurer).
